Get Some of Your Expenses Back

Your customer owes you money, but what about the money you have to spend getting him or her to pay the debt? You may be able to recover attorney's fees - part of the way that Reddlaw gets paid — from the debtor.

Generally, Georgia law calls for each party to pay their own attorney's fees. This will be the case most of the time. Learn more about contingency attorney fees*.

Do You Have a Contract?

However, if you have a contract signed by the party we are attempting to collect from that calls for them to pay your attorney's fees, we may be able to recover some attorney's fees, including litigation expenses and court costs.

Under Georgia law if you do not have a signed contract that calls for the debtor to pay your attorney's fees, more than likely, you will not be able to recover them from the debtor.

We will be happy to explain this in more detail upon your request. Call lawyer Joe Perry Redd of Reddlaw at our metro Atlanta office at 888-826-0106, contact us online or send your files over by fax to 770-978-2994.

*"Contingent attorney's fees" refers only to those fees charged by attorneys for their legal services. Such fees are not permitted in all types of cases, but are generally permitted in collection cases. Court costs and other additional expenses of legal action must be paid by the client. We will not incur expenses over $50 without your prior approval.
