Georgia Collections Law Firm

The Pre-Judgment Phase of Debt Collections

This is usually a very small part of the collections process. (See Your Guide to the Collections Process for more detailed information.)

It consists of our firm sending a demand letter, asking in no uncertain terms that the debtor pay his or her debt. We send one and only one demand letter. If the debtor chooses to ignore this letter, we can then take legal action on your behalf, including filing a lawsuit, obtaining a judgment order, filing to garnish wages and bank accounts and possibly, trial or jail time.

While none of these actions is easy, it is a road we have traveled many times before. Over the past 30 years, attorney Joe Perry Redd has helped hundreds of clients collect on the debts they were owed.

Only an Attorney Can Take Legal Action

As a lawyer licensed in state and federal court, Joe Perry Redd has a full arsenal of legal tools to can use to collect a judgment, which are not available to the original creditor or a collection agency. He is able to handle all aspects of your creditor legal problems, including litigation if necessary. He is also an active member of the State Bar of Georgia as well as the Federal Bar Association.

We enforce all judgments against Georgia residents, including foreign (out-of-state) judgments. Reddlaw has earned a reputation for a rather uncompromising attitude when collecting debts and enforcing judgments on behalf of clients.
